Definitions Key (schema)

Fields

ID
Our clean sequential number, in Scripture order. Not the rabbinic numbering.
REFERENCE
Book chapter:verse where the command is given. Reaffirmed/repeated commands list every occurrence together, primary (first) reference first — e.g. "Gen 1:28; 9:1; 9:7; 35:11".
COMMAND
The command stated plainly in English.
TYPE
POSITIVE (a "do") or NEGATIVE (a "do not").
HEBREW
Key Hebrew verb / root behind the command, where it adds clarity.
CATEGORY
Grouping (Worship, Diet, Justice, Priesthood, Family, Feasts, etc.).
NT-LINK
Phase 2: NT command that reaffirms, intensifies, or replaces this one.
NOTES
Disputes, cross-references, reasons, open questions, ALSO AT repeats.
PORTION
The Torah portion (parsha). Primary grouping key; entries ordered by reference within each portion.

Scope

STANDING
Binds a category of people or all people across time. Names may be specific but the principle recurs or is universal.
SITUATIONAL
A one-time / unrepeatable command bound to a single moment or person. Apply the context-is-king test first.

Status

APPLIES
Binds believers today as written.
CONDITIONAL
Would apply, but depends on a missing institution/condition (temple, priesthood, land, etc.). Named. Would bind if the condition returned.
FULFILLED
Completed or absorbed in Christ / the New Covenant. Reached its end in the Messiah; does not return.
STUDY
Not yet ruled. Needs more work before a verdict.
DISPUTED
Genuinely contested. Joel adjudicates; Jack does not decide unilaterally.

CONDITIONAL waits on a missing institution and could return. FULFILLED reached its end in Christ and does not. They are kept separate on purpose.
